About hippy backpacking
Hippy Backpacking features articles and photos about backpacking in the hippies in the 60's era and more recent backpacking stuff.
Like, post stone age.
The posts cover - or will cover - cheap, ok, budget -travel in Australia, Singapore, Malaya, Thailand, Laos and Burma.
There are - or will be - posts about travel in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and the middle east, along with Europe.
There will also be a couple of posts about New York City in the 60's.
The hippy trail
This was the overland route from Australia to (usually) England and vice-versa taken by backpackers.
Only some of these countries were stops on the trail; Burma, the middle east, eastern Europe and (for geographical reasons) the United States weren't considered regular stops.

About the hippy backpacking header banner
It's a sticker that was handed out after a screening of the hippy movie
`Easy Rider' at a movie house in Sydney, Australia, in the late 60's,
and the profile in the banner is a profile of Dennis Hopper, the
star of the movie.
